Fantastic lidded canister by renowned mid-century studio potter Dr. Harold C. Mantz (1908-1994). Dr. Mantz was a professor in the arts at Kutztown University between 1939-1977.

The wheel-thrown lidded jar has throwing rings (the rings you see that go down the piece to create texture), two small lug handles, and two wheel spokes applied after throwing. It is finished with a layered drip glaze of blues, yellows, and browns.

It measures approximately 5.25" tall and 4" diameter. It weighs 1.4 lbs.

It is in good condition with two small chips - one right on the interior rim under the lid and one on a wheel spoke. Please review photos and ask any questions. _______________________
