Description
This OEM Replacement Part is a genuine ice-level control board kit. The control plate is an electronic component responsible for notifying the unit when to start or stop ice production. This reading is based on the ice retainer's capacity. Over time, this part may wear out or become damaged, leading to malfunctions such as ice overproduction or halted ice creation.
The ice level control plate works in conjunction with the ice level control board. The board uses an infrared beam to sense the ice bucket's level and signals the ice maker accordingly. If the control board fails, the ice maker will cease producing ice.
Replacing a faulty control plate with this OEM part can resolve ice maker issues. When performing repairs, disconnect the power and wear gloves for safety. This board is designed for use in select Whirlpool, Kenmore, KitchenAid, and Jenn-Air refrigerators equipped with ice makers.
