Bakelite and milk glass/opaline go together perfectly, better than brass, and rarer that the fittings survive.

The GEC brand mark is pictured, also as 'Made in England', and the no. 2898 2.

These are a small size, ideal for passageways or smaller rooms. As a pair, they could work in a larger space.

The bulb B22 holders have been replaced as the originals were crumbling; otherwise, these are completely original, with both the glass and fitting in good condition for the age.
