This is a soft rubber lens hood. Lens hoods are primarily used to block harmful light rays that cause flare and ghosting when shooting into the sun, resulting in clearer images. They also protect the lens surface from external contact, so we recommend using one regularly. Extend it for use and fold it compactly for storage. Filters and lens caps can be used that match the size of the lens being attached.

*Always attach filters between the hood and the lens body.
