The radio meets IPX7/JIS7, which Uniden defines as no water getting in when immersed at 1m for 30 minutes with all fittings secured. The large anti-glare OLED screen stays clear in all lighting, and a built-in torch with SOS strobe helps after dark.

What range will I get?
Uniden rates it at up to 17km typical range, line of sight. Duplex lets you work through repeaters.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 30 hours at 1W and up to 20 hours at 5W, based on 5% transmit, 5% receive and 90% standby with minimum settings. A full charge from empty takes up to 4 hours.
Is it waterproof?
The radio is IPX7/JIS7 rated, with no water ingress at 1m for 30 minutes when all fittings are secured. The speaker mic and other accessories are not waterproof.
Does it have Bluetooth or location sharing?
No. Those are on the XTRAK 50 Pro, which adds the XTRAK app and Bluetooth audio.
Can I use it in the car?
Yes. The cig-lead adaptor charges it through the cradle, and the ACCX50 car kit adds an in-car charger, magnetic bracket and antenna for the XTRAK 50 Series.
