Frequently asked questions
How far will it reach?
Uniden quotes up to 17km, typical line of sight. Hills, trees and buildings cut that down, and the duplex mode lets you work through a UHF CB repeater for more range.
Is it waterproof?
It is splashproof, not submersible. It keeps its splashproof rating only with the battery, antenna and accessory jack cap fitted, and not while an earpiece or speaker mic is plugged in.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 35 hours, based on 5% transmit, 5% receive and 90% standby on low power with Auto Battery Save on. A full charge takes up to 5 hours.
Can I use an earpiece?
Yes. The built-in accessory jack takes an optional earpiece or speaker mic. The UH755-2DLX Twin Deluxe Pack includes both.
Do I need a licence?
Uniden's manual says CB radio in Australia is licensed under the ACMA Radiocommunications (Citizen Band Radio Stations) Class Licence, and use is subject to its conditions.
