Here’s your chance to own a little piece of WABE (Atlanta) history. This listing may have station catalog number stickers, handwritten programming notes on inserts and booklets, and/or promo designations (stamps, stickers, drill marks, cutouts, hole punches, or obscured barcodes). It comes from a few thousand titles that I was fortunate enough to purchase that were part of our local NPR station’s library.
For combined shipping on multiple items from my store, place the items in your cart and select "request combined shipping" and I will provide an invoice.
From my personal collection, I’m going digital and offloading most of my 15,000+ title collection because of the space required to house it all. It’s great fun to go back through all this music I’ve acquired over 30+ years but I’ve been slow in getting things listed. If looking for something specific, feel free to ask if I have it… if so, I’d be happy to move it to the top of the listing pile.
Notes on my attempt to grade listings:
I use the condition of the disc itself to determine listing condition. I do not consider case/insert for that purpose because we've all ordered brand new CDs from retail stores that ship with damage to a case which is a long way from the heart of the CD. I also don’t swap out the cases for new ones as it would drive up costs prohibitively.
I do rate the condition of the case, insert, and disc in the seller description. I steer clear of using mint, near mint, as to me that would be reserved for NEW.
My attempt to rate:
· NEW -- new never played
· Like NEW -- I likely opened to rip to my digital library only
· EX -- No adverse signs of use or play
· EX- -- a couple of small marks
· VG+ / VG / VG- -- a few to several marks that do not cover a majority of disc
· G+ / G / G- -- many marks
· AC+ / AC / AC- -- likely purchased the disc in poor used condition to begin with &/or played it in my car a lot. Most of these I consider "doggy" but don't think they are ready for the trash bin.
All of discs I offer play on my devices without issue. Because these are all from my personal library, if I come across a disc that doesn't play it goes into the bin.
I do my best to describe what I see with each disc (which takes a lot of time) because I've also purchased from the secondary market and received "doggy" discs rated as VERY GOOD or NEAR MINT. I've tried to be a good steward of my collection but with that said I've also opened sealed discs with faint scratches (what I call eyelash marks).
I hope that whatever music you purchase at my store that it brightens your life as much as it did mine... Turn it up!!!
