For sale is an exceptionally rare, beautifully preserved, and fully functional vintage fountain pen — the Dictator Junior. Manufactured in Germany during the golden Art Deco era (circa 1930s), this pen represents a unique opportunity for serious collectors and calligraphy enthusiasts alike. It perfectly combines stunning historical aesthetics with world-class writing performance.
History and Rarity of the Brand:
This fountain pen was produced by the highly esteemed but now elusive German manufacturer Ernst Noll & Cie (ENC), which operated during the first half of the 20th century. The company was renowned for using premium materials. In the 1930s, they launched the Dictator brand to compete directly with industry giants like Montblanc and Pelikan. The model names were intentionally chosen in English (such as "Dictator" and "Junior") to cater to the demanding international export market. Due to limited production runs, pens from this manufacture are incredibly difficult to find today and are considered a true collector's prize.
Premium Upgrade – German BOCK Nib:
The original nib has been replaced with a high-end, renowned German BOCK nib. Bock is a world leader in premium nib manufacturing, famous for its perfect and rich ink flow, outstanding smoothness, and durability. As shown in the attached writing sample, the pen glides effortlessly across the paper without any skipping or hard starts, delivering a flawless, wet, and fluid writing experience that outperforms most original vintage nibs.
Features and Condition:
  • Material & Design: Crafted from premium celluloid in the beautiful and highly sought-after "Cracked Ice" (pearl and black marble) pattern. The celluloid has fully retained its high-gloss finish, completely free of cracks or deep scratches.
  • Imprint & Engraving: The barrel features an exceptionally sharp, deep, and clear factory imprint: "DICTATOR", accompanied by the iconic geometric diamond logo and the "Junior" script. The brand name is also vertically engraved on the gold-plated clip.
  • Mechanism: Fully operational, serviced, and functional. The pen fills and holds ink perfectly without any leaks.
  • Original Box: The fountain pen comes with its authentic vintage presentation case, featuring an elegant golden-yellow satin lining and a distinct period-accurate textured exterior. This drastically increases the overall collectible value of the set.
