Everywhere !!! ... & likely in the Northeast ! too.  Wow ... as we are all very-well familiar with the Live Sonic-Thunder ! that the Good Ol' ( 1979 ! ) Grateful Dead bestowed upon the Cape Cod Coliseum - on both !! 10/27/79 & 10/28/79 ... delivering double-Franklin's Towers ! at these Shows - and, basically shaking the Earth ! ... with a Mesmerizing Set II of the 10/27 Show ( just think ... Dancin' > Franklin's ! & Caution Jam > Other One !! )  Unreal, indeed ...  So, here indeed is a little taste of G.D. and Rock & Roll History ! at the Cape Cod Coliseum - in the form of a Backstage Pass for both ! the J.G.B. and Bobby & The Midnites Show ! on the '82 Summer Tour ... The Bob & Jerry Show !!!  So Awesome ! & So Vintage-Cool !! & So-Green !!!  As this here ' Duck ' Always ! appreciates a nice-shade of Green !  Hah ! ... Quack.  This is the Vintage-Original ( Genuine / Authentic ) Jerry Garcia Band Backstage Pass - with Bobby & The Midnites Opening ! for the June 18, 1982 ( 6/18/82 ) Show at the Cape Cod Coliseum in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts ( MA ) !!  Better known as the " Run For The Roses " Tour - this 10-Date ( 8-Venue ) Tour kicked off with only Two ( 2 ) West Coast dates ( at the Keystone-Berkeley on 6/11/82 & 6/12/82 ) - before Jerry - John Kahn & Co. headed back East for the lion's share of this Tour ... just as they liked to do Best ! in this Amazing !! J.G.B. Early-'80's Era.  This eastern-swing kicked off in South Fallsburg, NY ( Music Mountain ! ) - then headed to New Haven, CT ( New Haven Coliseum ! ) ... then, on to here - at the Cape Cod Coliseum!!  in South Yarmouth Mass. !!!  And then ... from here to Cumberland County Civic ( ME ) - then down to the South ... at The Mosque ! in Richmond, VA ... then on to the Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh, PA - two more Shows in New Jersey - at the Capitol Theatre following ... and, that was all she wrote !  Well, as far as the " Electric " J.G.B. goes - as the very-next day the Garcia / Kahn  " Acoustic ! " run began ... in New York City !  Jerry & John then played Fourteen ( 14 ) Shows ! spanning from New York - to D.C. - to Philly - to Boston - to Rochester - to Chicago - to Boulder - to San Fran - all the way until Mid-September - it was Jerry & John Acoustic-Only !  For really any Garcia Fan - these were the days !  Touring fast & touring hard ! - truly taking it all-over to the People !  This Summer Tour was actually the " Run For The Roses " Tour - and I think the only way it was really ever " billed " as such - was with the T-Shirt / Tour Shirt !  Pretty classic, for certain ...  This Album was indeed Garcia's Last / Final Studio Album that he ever released - and it's pretty crazy to think that the J.G.B. still played constantly all-over likewise for the next 13-Years !  As we know, playing it Live - through the Amps & Cones is indeed what it was all about for the J.G.B. - who needs to release Albums anyways !  To my ears - this period was around the ' entry-point ' of the Garcia Band at truly ... it's Nastiest !!!!  And of course - I'm talking about ' nasty ' in a good ! way ... Ha !  Just Bringing-It ! - and bringing it hard & heavy - quite a bit of the Boss playin' the ' Boss ' !  You've gotta love that ...  And, as it is also way important to note - this was the J.G.B. also reaping the " promoter " benefits of those Grateful Dead connections - as the Venues on this Tour - are simply a " Who's Who ! " of some of the best places to see bands in this era ... Wow !  The Keystone-Berkeley - Music Mountain - the Cumberland County C.C. - the Capitol Theatre - the Stanley Theater - The Mosque - and of course ... the Cape Cod Coliseum !!!  We all know the kinds of Magical ! things that the Grateful Dead did to All ! these fine Venues in the 1970's & 1980's, and hey - why not serve them all another thick helping of the J.G.B. !! - in '82 ... on the " Run For The Roses " Tour ! ... with Bobby & The Midnites even ' Opening ' too !!  Quite possibly the Neatest ! thing about this Pass - for the average Deadhead - that just Loves ! it all is ... you've got Bobby Weir ! as the opening act for the J.G.B. ! - and not just ' Bobby Weir ' ... but " Bobby & The Midnites ! ... with even Billy Kreutzmann himself ! showing up for this Fun ! & playing with the J.G.B. !!!  And, at this point in time too - the Brand Spankin' New ! " Bobby & The Midnites " self-titled Early-'80s Masterpiece ! was also nice & fresh in the hopper.  In fact, this Album - only a a year old at the time, was Bobby's 1st since '78 ( Heaven Help the Fool ).  Wow ... the Bob & Jerry Show(s) !  Kinda like in '89 too ! - as plenty of folks got to cross that one off of that Vital-List !  That vital-list that is all about Live ! Rock 'n Roll !!!  We All ! need a Time-Machine that actually works, and works well !  Ha !!!  What a Cool !! looking Vintage-Pass too ... in both ! it's Awesome-Early-'80's Design - and it's Color ! ... Green !!!  Enjoy this both ! Garcia ! & Weir ! Backstage Pass Treasure !!!!!
