Description: A rather uncommon and scarce bank note from Armenia. This is the 5000 rubles note issued by the Yerevan Branch of the Government Bank. The note has black inscription on a light brown or purple underprint on the front and has type written text without underprint (well you can see the design from the front coming through). The note is dates August 1919 on the front and has two signatures. The back has the issue date of 15 January 1920 and has three signatures with the third one fairly faded in the center near the bottom edge. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: 1919. However, the note itself was issued sometime January 15, 1920.
