Installation Instructions

How long should my Samsung Fridge Water Filter last?
Refrigerator manufacturers recommend replacing fridge water filters at least every 6 months or when the “change filter” light comes on. If you notice the clarity or taste of your water changing, that’s the best indication it’s time to replace. A routine 6-month cycle helps keep water fresh and protects your refrigerator’s ice & water mechanisms.

Samsung water filters using high-grade carbon block help reduce substances which may be present in your water such as chlorine, microbial cysts, heavy metals & chemicals.

1. Shut off the water supply. Turn the water filter about 1/4 turn counter-clockwise.
2. Pull the water filter from the filter case.
   * If it’s hard to disassemble due to buildup, grip the filter firmly and pull harder.
   * A small amount of water may leak—keep the cartridge horizontal while removing.
   * Empty and dry the water tray around the filter case to prevent overflow.
3. Insert the new filter into the filter case.
4. Push the filter, then turn clockwise until it locks (the lock symbol aligns with the indicator line).
5. Press and hold the alarm/filter button for 3 seconds to reset. The indicator changes from red to off.
6. If you turned off the water supply, turn it back on.
