"How to enjoy good food and good drinks"
This was the starting point for Haseen's craftsmanship. While leveraging the characteristics of Iga clay the concept of Haseen's craftsmanship started from imagining "If there were such items in our daily lives " evolving through using them as end-users. In Iga they have been making a tool called "horoku" since ancient times. This tool used for roasting tea leaves is a handcrafted item made possible by Iga's coarse clay that can withstand direct fire and gently transfer heat through radiant heat. "Fukkura-san" is a modern version of "horoku " designed to be more user-friendly delicious and capable of authentic cooking in today's lifestyle. Its shape is filled with many elaborate details pursuing functionality and design. The earthenware base of the main body capable of being used empty efficiently transfers heat to the core of the ingredients with far-infrared ray effect while the pointed hat lid creates an ideal condition for steaming dishes (this is based on the same principle as the Moroccan tagine pot which restores the moisture from the ingredients to water for cooking in the desert region). The lid has a protruding part to increase the surface area externally and a spiral pattern is applied to expose the clay texture throughout the body. This promotes the characteristics of Iga's breathable coarse clay accelerating water absorption and enhancing the effect of water evaporation. Not only does it promote steam circulation in steamed dishes but it also significantly influences the maintenance of the freshness of served ingredients and the heat dissipation effect when using it as a cold container.
Starting with "horoku " amidst changes in lifestyle Haseen engaged with the possibilities of Iga's coarse clay with high heat resistance heat retention water absorption and far-infrared ray effect.
