**Moissanite is the name given to a naturally occurring and laboratory-grown mineral made up of silicon carbide.

**On the Mohs scale of hardness, moissanite scores a 9.25 (diamonds score a 10). This means that moissanite is exceptionally durable and will hold up well against scratches and abrasions. Like diamonds, it's a great stone for everyday wear!

**Moissanite is so similar in appearance to a diamond that it is difficult to distinguish with the naked eye.

**It has the closest physical properties to a Diamond.

**Moissanite is NOT a synthetic diamond. Synthetic diamonds can be produced in large quantities, but Moissanite cannot.
