Antique copperplate engraved map of the Danish islands in the Baltic Sea, including Zealand, Funen, Lolland, Falster, Langeland, and Møn. Original hand coloring.

The large decorative cartouche features the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Denmark, cherubs, mythological sea figures, and a naval vignette with sailing ships.

Homann’s maps were highly regarded for their precision, bold design, and artistic detail. Published in Nuremberg, this map formed part of the Maior Atlas.
