Seiko Conceptual Quartz Chronograph Black Dial Steel Bracelet Men’s Watch SSB379P1

The Case:

The Seiko Conceptual Quartz Chronograph SSB379P1 is housed in a 41.5mm stainless steel case that measures 12.mm in depth and has been treated to a brushed finish. The case consists of a fixed bezel, a push/pull crown located at 3 o’clock and two push-buttons that are used to operate the dial’s chronograph functions. Hardlex crystal provides the watch with protection against scratches and shattering. The case is secured by a solid caseback that has the Seiko logo etched into it.

The Dial:

The dial is presented in a black hue, with a subtle sunburst finish. It exhibits a chronograph display, meaning it features additional dial complications that can be used to measured and display elapsed times, as well as assist in timing events of intervals. It features 3 sub-dials located at 12, 6 and 9 o’clock that display a 60 minute scale, a 60-second scale and a 12-hour scale, respectively. Silver baton-style hour markers are located around the edge of the dial; they are encircled by a tachymeter scale that is located around the chapter ring. This can be used to measure speed based on time travelled over a fixed distance. The pointed silver handset has been coated with a thin layer of luminous material that enables the dial to be read in the dark. A date-display window is nestled in between the 4 and 5 o’clock hour markers.

The Bracelet:

The watch comes presented on a classic 3-link oyster-style bracelet that is crafted out of brushed stainless steel. The bracelet fastens through the use of a deployment clasp that is signed with the Seiko logo.

The Functions:

The Seiko Conceptual SSB379P1 is powered by a Seiko-made Japanese 8T67 quartz calibre movement that has a battery life of 36 months and an accuracy rating of +/-15 seconds per month. It is water resistant up to 100 metres, which means that it is possible to swim or snorkel with the watch on, but it is not appropriate for diving.
