This is a vintage silver plated butter dish with the glass insert manufactured by Sheridan Siver Co. of Taunton, Maine.
A plus to this item is that it has its glass insert!!
This piece is more than likely post 1940 vintage...Sheridan Silver Co. was sold in 1974 to Lenox and became known as Taunton Silversmiths.
This is a fine collectable of Sheridan Silver Company.
It measures 9 inches in length by 5 inches wide and is approximately 3 and one half inches tall with the lid on.
