This is a Continental Length Set - compared to a typical American set the dinner fork, soup/place spoon, & dinner knife are slightly longer and the teaspoon is slightly shorter. 

Glossy finish on outer border of handle tops with vine - scroll design that frames satin finish on center of handle. Satin finish on back of handle.  Glossy finish on bowls, blades, and bodies of forks.
