Presented for your consideration is a fine William IV sterling silver platter created by Paul Storr (1770-1844)  in 1835.

The oval-shaped platter is of heavy gauge and adorned with gadrooned rims interrupted by exquisite shells on the four sides flanked by scrolled foliage, The border with an armorial on either side. 

Marked for sterling silver, London, 1835, PS [Paul Storr] and William IV profile for duty.

In fine age-commensurate condition with light scratches. The armorials somewhat rubbed, yet discernible.

Hallmarks well-struck, deep and clear.
