Antique Chinese child’s hat, likely dating to the late Qing Dynasty or early Republic period (late 1800s – early 1900s). Crafted from silk and cotton, this charming piece features richly stitched embroidery of a playful creature with coiled motifs, polka dots, and stylized wings or limbs. The front includes hand-sewn button eyes and a happy expression rendered in vibrant silk floss. The interior is lined with bright fuchsia cotton or silk, and the tail-like extension adds to its whimsical design—possibly worn during festivals or as a protective talisman.
