This is a completed N scale model by KATO: Series 285-3000 “Sunrise Express” (Pantograph-Added Formation) 7-Car Set.
• Based on the post-renovation appearance (I5 formation) introduced after 2013
• Beautifully reproduces the Sunrise emblem on the lead cars
• Accurately replicates the JR Central (3000 series) lettering style on the car bodies
• Reproduces door switches; boarding steps on each side door are painted in yellow warning color
• MoHaNe 285 cars feature a roof updated with two WPS28 single-arm pantographs; MoHaNe 285-3200 reproduces the version with Toshiba-manufactured underfloor equipment
• Detailed representation of rooftop equipment such as air conditioners and resistors
• Headlights and taillights illuminate (with on/off switch); headlight patterns faithfully replicate the real train, with the outer headlights as sealed beams (warm white) and the inner lights as fog lamps (yellow), reproducing the difference in light tone
• Lead car front couplers are body-mounted close-couplers without hooks; includes parts reproducing two-stage electric couplers and coupler covers
• Intermediate couplers use KATO close-couplers with jumper pipes
• Underframe parts unique to the 285 series are fitted beneath the ends of intermediate cars at the bogie mounting points
