・The EMU3000 is the latest limited express electric multiple unit (EMU) operated by the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA).
・Planned to be introduced in a total of 600 cars, it began operation in late 2021 as a replacement for older rolling stock used in Tze-Chiang Limited Express, Chu-Kuang Express, and diesel units on the electrified South-Link Line.
・Since 2019, TRA has been refreshing its stations and rolling stock under the “Future Renaissance” initiative, aimed at revitalizing its brand identity.
・The EMU3000 embodies this philosophy with a clean, monotone livery accented by bold colors above the doors, designed with the concept of “creating a world-class limited express train.”
・Each 12-car formation uses 20-meter-long cars, with Car 6 designated as a Business Class coach (Teng Yun Zuo Cang), equivalent to Japan’s Green Car.
・This new model joins the KATO lineup alongside the Taiwan High-Speed Rail 700T, allowing you to enjoy Taiwan’s railway scenery in N scale.
・The clean black and white color scheme and detailed printing are faithfully reproduced.
