After Germans' take over the Austria in 1938, A.H. started a wide propaganda campaign against the Czechoslovak Government involving Sudeten Germans. Meantime in Sudetenland, A.H. has instructed Henlein to form his Freikorps and provided uniforms and arms. On September 21-22, 1938 the Freikorps took control of the areas of Asch, Eger, Franzensbad and Rumburg in Northern Bohemia and Jauernig in the North of Czech Silesia. On October 1, 1938 Germans crossed the border began occupation of Sudeten territories.
