Prior versions of this OEM La-Z-Boy part have included coarse thread silver bolts that were then upgraded to include orange Loctite threadlocker, and then ultimately replaced with the most current OEM version that is a fine thread black bolt coupled to an OEM precision black plastic grommet. Although the plastic grommet can be re-used, IT WILL NEVER BE AS TIGHTLY THREADED AS THE FIRST TIME. This is why we recommend ONLY replacing/upgrading your originals with BRAND NEW GROMMETS AND BLACK FINE THREAD BOLTS (although we do sell both new and used units if you are so inclined). It is recommended to avoid aftermarket non-OEM counterfeits available elsewhere due to lack of quality/precision fit. Also beware ads selling in 'like new' or 'mint' condition. Once these grommets are threaded for the first time you will see the heavy imprints of the bolt threads laced into the inside of the grommet, and though they can be used, they will NEVER be as tight as brand new grommets threaded for the first time and should NEVER be misrepresented as 'like new' or 'mint' condition.
