Here is a scarce Socket 462 CPU from 2004. Although it is named a Sempron, it uses a generous 512K of L2 cache, allowing it to outperform most Athlon XPs. "Sempron" usually means slow, and born to be cheap, like a Celeron. I think this one should have been named the Athlon XP 2750.
This Sempron 3000+ runs at 2.0 GHz, using a 333 MHz front side bus with DDR1 memory. It uses the Barton core, with a 512K L2 cache. Here is a link to complete specifications:

Many older socket A motherboards can not use a 333 MHz front side bus or 512KB cache. Here is a link to a good partial list of compatible motherboards.

If you are not sure about compatibility with your system, please ask me before ordering. I would rather tell you "no, this is why it won't work" than have us both waste time with a return.
Buyer will receive only the exact CPU pictured here. All pins are straight and present, and the central die has no cracks or chipping.
I offer a 30 day return privilege and free ground shipping to any U.S. zip code.
