Casambi Xpress remote controller theft deterrent bracket
Theft or other loss is a real possibility in some settings and at around £200 per remote, plus the inconvenience of programming them, it pays to take precautions!
This bracket is designed to retro-fit an existing Casambi Xpress wall mount. This means no additional holes in the wall, unscrewing or anything similar to accommodate a different bracket.
Fitting is very quick and easy:
- Place the controller into the bracket (it is intentionally a very snug fit)
- Make sure you push the controller to the front of the mount against the front stops
- Slide the bracket over the Casambi wall mount until it stops
- For a little extra protection you can press the controller back against the Casambi mount, it might need a little wiggling until you feel it attach itself to the three magnets in the mount.
- Excessive force is not necessary and may break the bracket!
After fitting it will look and feel like it was designed to be that way. The pressure from the Casambi wall mount and the magnets engaged in the remote make it more effort to pull or slide up off the wall.
Please take note:
- This is a deterrent and does not fully remove the possibility of theft or loss
- Removal for battery changes is straightforward. Use your fingers under the bottom edge to push the remote against the stops and then slide the bracket up. It may take a little effort.
- I only have the LR, but the sizes appear the same on the older ones. If in doubt mail the dimensions and I'll check.
