Here is a popular Athlon XP CPU made in 2002 and 2003.  This is the next-to-fastest compatible CPU for the many socket A/socket 462 motherboards that can not handle a 333 or 400 MHz front side bus.  The fastest (the Athlon XP 2600+ is only 6.5% faster but costs about three times as much.

This Athlon XP 2400+ uses AMD's "Thoroughbred" core.  It runs at 2.0 GHz, using a 266 MHz front side bus with DDR1 memory.  It includes a 256K L2 cache.  Complete specifications are at this link:
