About Us
Vinyl Perk began in 2008 as a brick-and-mortar store next to an old movie theater in Pocatello, Idaho, a block from the Yellowstone Hotel. We were honored as the 2009 New Business of the Year by the Historic Pocatello Commission. In 2013 we opened an East Coast branch in Carrboro, North Carolina next to a barber shop, a block from the world-famous Cat's Cradle. We were honored as a 2015 Notable Small Business by the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce.

Record Grading
Sealed (S) Album jacket is still sealed in factory shrink wrap; the record is not graded and sold as is.
Near Mint (NM) Record appears unplayed, with no visible defects such as sleeve scuffs, warps or scratches. We rarely use this grade.
Very Good ++ Vinyl might have one or two visible imperfections (faint surface marks, sleeve scuffs) that do not affect play.
Very Good + Vinyl has a few visible imperfections such as sleeve scuffs, faint scratches or other surface marks.
Very Good Vinyl has slightly more imperfections that VG+ grade. No scratches that are "feelable" with a fingernail.
VG - Vinyl has a number of slight imperfections such as light scratches or surface wear, or a prominent defect such a scratch that is "feelable" with a fingernail.
Good Vinyl has multiple imperfections including light scratches, "feelable" scratches, and visible surface wear.
G+ and G- Denotes stronger and weaker copies within the Good range.
Poor (P) and Fair (F) Worst condition.
