How to Use Oxalic Acid.
Oxalic acid application should be done after the honey harvest, when the brood is at its lowest, when the air temperature is between 15 and 25 degrees and all the bees are in the hives.
Preparation of Oxalic Acid Solution:
35 gr. Oxalic acid + 200 gr. granulated sugar + 1 lt water
200 gr. sugar is mixed with some water until it dissolves. 35 gr. oxalic acid is added and mixed until it dissolves. It is completed with water to make 1 lt (1000ml).
The prepared mixture is dripped between each frame with bees, 5 ml. onto the bees. The application is once a week for each colony and is applied for 2-3 consecutive weeks.
It is recommended to use gloves and a mask when applying oxalic acid.
