Lo shock tester ST1 è una sorta di banco prova manuale che permette di verificare che l'ammortizzatore reagisca correttamente alle regolazioni esterne (compressione e ritorno) e che il sistema di bloccaggio fondamentale per non disperdere l'energia impressa dalla pedalata sia funzionante ed efficace, nonchè di riempire la camera negativa presente negli ammortizzatori ad aria.
