STERLING LINDNER DAVIS was one of the most elegant department stores in Cleveland, Ohio. It was also famous for its stunning and very tall indoor Christmas Trees.
The company was founded in 1845 under a different name that later became Sterling Lindner Davis. The Store closed in 1968.

This 7 3/4 x 7 3/4" golden box contains a lovely HANKIE KEEPER,  made of pink and light blue silk and creme colored lace.  It looks unused, still in its original tissue paper.  The lid of the box has the Sterling Lindner Davis name printed on the inside.  Box and contents are in excellent condition.

This would be a wonderful gift for a lady who loves Cleveland history.
