This item is preowned.  The page covers are clean with no writing or tears to any of the pages.  The front cover shows signs of wear near the top of the book around the spine (see photos). The book came with a plastic protective dust cover which will be included.  On the front inside cover there is a signed dedication to the previous owner of the book, Dr. Hugh M. Shingleton, from another physician (see photos). 

Dr. Hugh M Shingleton served at the Division of Gynecological Oncology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB).  He helped set the standard of care for women with gynecologic malignancies in the South, the nation and internationally during his many decades as a professor at UAB. He was a past President of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology in 1985.
