This uncirculated 20 Shillings Somaliland note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Bank of Somaliland to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Independence. It is a brown note that is dated 1996, bears the signatures of Barreh Hajj Omer and Abdi Mohamoud Gullet, and measures 120 x 53 mm. Its obverse side features the Goodirka (formerly the House of Representatives, now the Supreme Court building), a male greater kudu, and a horizontal gold overprint reading '5th Anniversary of Independence 18 May 1996 / Sanad Gurada 5ee / Gobanimadda 18 May 1996'. Its reverse side shows two nomads with three camels, the twin hills of Naasa-Hablood, and a tree. The note does not have a security thread or watermark.
