Antique engraved map of Madagascar and Mozambic, by Rigobert BONNE (1727-1795), 18th century, titled :


"LE CANAL DE MOSAMBIQUE, L'ISLE DE MADAGASCAR, LSE ETATS DU MONOMOTAPA, Par M. Bonne, IngĂ©nieur-Hydrographe de la Marine". 


The map shows Bourbon (Reunion), Ile de France (Mauritius), and Comoros islands.



Rigobert Bonne succeded to Jacques Nicolas Bellin as Royal Cartographer in the office of the Hydrographer at the Depot de la Marine in France.



Size with margins : 46 x 30,5 cm / 18,1 x 11,8 inches


Condition : good condition, on strong paper, large margins, in colors.
