The previous owner's father worked as an executive at Southwestern Bell and had this phone updated to use in his office. I'm sure they must have found this in an old warehouse and fell in love with it. They probably used one of their technicians to convert it to "modern" 1970s technology.

It has most of its original parts, like the original handset cord, crank, microphone, dial and internal parts. However, the hinges, external jack wire, junction box, and a few other odds and ends were added after its renovation.

I AM SELLING THIS AS A WORKING TELEPHONE. I don't have a land line to test it,  but I was assured by the owner that it works well. She used it decades ago  after he brought it home from the office when he would ground her from using the family telephone. The family kept it safely inside their home for more than 40 years.
