This uncirculated 500 Icelandic krona note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of Iceland. It is a red note that is dated 22 May 2001, bear the signatures of Birgir Isleifur Gunnarson and Eirikur Guonason, and measures 145 mm x 70 mm. Its obverse side features Jon Sigurosson. Its reverse side shows books, an inkwell, Jon Sigurroson with a pen and a gas lamp, and the Learned School. Security features include a windowed security thread with demetallized 500KR and a watermark of Jon Sigurosson with Cornerstones.
