The South Sudan 50 South Sudanese Pound banknote is part of the family of notes issued by the Bank of South Sudan in 2011. Featured on the notes obverse is a portrait of Sudanese revolutionary leader Dr. John Garang de Mabior who led the Sudanese Peoples Liberation Army. It also depicts a Dinka warrior spear. The back of the note displays elephants and a sorghum plant. The banknote is 142 x 72 mm in size and bears a windowed security thread. Additionally, it has a watermark that shows a mans face and the denomination. It also has the signatures of Alija Malok Aleng and David Den Athorbei. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
