We really try hard to find like-new condition 10, 20 and 30 year-old vintage Chanel flaps, and this bag is no exception.
The iconic holy grail bag is the Chanel Classic Flap. Coveted for its simplicity and elegance - woven chain double strap that can be worn short or long, turnlock CC clasp, lambskin interior. With a double flap, or another flap on the interior, this bag has an extra flat pocket underneath the main compartment, an extra hidden pocket behind the interior flap.
The double flap provides more structure but less space than its single flap counterparts (although medium and small classic flaps only come in double flaps).
This is a special limited-edition Chanel Medium Classic Double Flap in beige and black striped canvas with double woven chain and an additional pearl strand strap. It was released exclusively for the Coco Sailor line and can no longer be found in stores. The "strand" of faux pearls have black knots in between each pearl, and clasps onto the bag with two striped CC logo buttons. This strand can be removed entirely, or arranged in a different way, as it connects to the chain strap with a lobster clasp on each side.
The medium size is 10 inches wide and is one of the original classic sizes of this flap. Retails for USD $6,800 + tax.
