Also known as: Scholastica of Nursia.
Feast Day: February 10.
Relic: Ex Ossibus (3rd Class Relic touched to the bone of the Saint).
Patronage: Nuns and Benedictine communities; Protection against lightning, rain, and storms; Convulsive children.
Biographical: Born c. 480 in Nursia, Italy, she was the twin sister of St. Benedict of Nursia. She consecrated herself to God at a young age and founded a monastery for nuns near Monte Cassino. Tradition holds that during their final meeting, she asked her brother to stay longer to discuss spiritual matters. When he refused, she prayed, and a miraculous storm broke out, preventing him from leaving. She died only three days later, and Benedict saw her soul ascending to heaven in the form of a white dove.
Saint Scholastica is a powerful advocate for children and those struggling with sudden or chronic physical distress. Because of the miraculous storm associated with her prayer, she is the primary intercessor for protection against the elements, but also for internal "storms" of the body. She is a dedicated patroness for convulsions in children and is frequently sought for those suffering from breathing spasms and asthma. Known for her wisdom and devotion to the Word of God, she is a compassionate advocate for those navigating learning disabilities and cognitive challenges. Her oil is a sacramental of calm and divine intervention, intended to steady the body, clear the airways, and bring a peaceful focus to the mind.

Canon Law Compliance: In accordance with Canon Law, we do not sell first or second-class relics. Your purchase price covers the cost of the materials, the handcrafted design, and the effort required to create these sacramentals.
Each item is handcrafted in our studio to ensure the highest quality for your devotional practice.
Relic Anointing Oil (10ml) in Gift Box: Our "secret recipe" oil is housed in a 10ml clear glass bottle with a stainless steel roller ball. It arrives in a custom square golden box featuring a beautiful image of the saint. The inside lid of the box contains the full list of ingredients and usage instructions, making it a perfect and complete gift.
Oil & Prayer Card Set: Includes the 10ml Relic Oil in its golden gift box plus our signature relic prayer card. These cards feature a special transparent window in the corner, allowing you to see the actual fabric relic sealed within the laminate from both sides.
At the heart of our oil blend is Spikenard (Nardo), which we import directly from Israel. This oil holds a sacred place in Catholic tradition as the "precious ointment" used by St. Mary Magdalene to anoint the feet of Jesus (John 12:3). By using this same biblical oil, we aim to evoke the same spirit of devotion, healing, and preparation for the Lord?s work in your own life.
The Recipe: Our blend features Spikenard (Nardo) from Israel, Mediterranean olive leaf, and Rose or Lavender fragrance, all held in a premium Sweet Almond carrier oil. A fabric 3rd-class relic is submerged within the bottle.
Refillable: Because the fabric relic remains in the bottle, you may refill the vessel once it is empty. It will automatically become a 3rd-class relic oil upon contact with the relic. If you do not have access to specific oil blends, we recommend using Extra Virgin Olive Oil for your refills.
The Card: (If selected) 2 5/8in x 5 1/8in (67mm x 130mm). Handcrafted with 8mil photo paper and 5mil lamination with a clear-view relic window.
Usage Note: PLEASE SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Spikenard oil is naturally less viscous and will settle at the bottom; this is a sign of the oil's purity and biblical authenticity.
Due to the sacred nature and handcrafted quality of these items, all sales are final. We cannot accept returns on relic oils. Exchanges are permitted on the prayer card only. In the event of shipping damage, please provide photo documentation for a replacement.
