From Halston's Fall/Winter 1997 collection, this rare and breathtaking strapless gown was designed by Randolph Duke and originally debuted on the runway worn by Helena Christensen. The dress is entirely hand-embellished with shimmering silver beads, metallic thread, and sequins that catch the light with every movement. Sculpted in a sleek, body-hugging silhouette and cut to the floor, it exemplifies Duke’s glamorous vision for the house of Halston during the late ’90s. A similar dress was famously worn by Tyra Banks at the 1998 Academy Awards.

The gown is substantial in weight due to the dense embellishment, and the bust lining may require tape or alteration to prevent sliding up and ensure a secure and flawless fit.
