The Elektronika MK-61 is one of the most powerful programmable (non-BASIC) soviet calculators ever manufactured. It was extremely popular, being compatible with the B3-34 series machines. This machine was quite versatile, presenting the quite popular RPN entry system and 105 steps of program memory. It was a real workhorse.
The MK-61 has 105 steps of volatile program memory and 15 memory registers. It functions using either three AA-size battery cells or a wall plug.
It has a ten-digit (eight digit mantissa, two digit exponent) green vacuum fluorescent display.
The calculators have been made on "Kvazar" factory, located in Kyiv, Ukraine. Made in 1989-1992.
