The Brazil 5 Cruzados Novos on 5,000 Cruzados is part of the 1989 provisional cruzado novo issues with a black triangular overprint reflecting the denominations in the cruzados novos. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition. Its front bears the Tiradentes mural with a kneeling man holding a child and a woman standing with chains. It also features Brazilian painter Candido Torquato Portinari. The reverse depicts a paintbrush and a painting outline of a woman for Baianas mural of children and a horse by Candido Torquato Portinari. The 154 x 74 mm paper banknote also carries a seahorse as its registration device. Furthermore, it has a watermark which reflects Candido Torquato Portinari.
