Vintage Large Royal Doulton Toby Mug. Jane Seymour. D6646 made in1978. 8" Tall. Measures 8" in tall by 7" wide. Excellent condition free of any defects. Part of a toby collection. While serving as lady-in-waiting to both Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn. Jane Seymour (1509-1537) attracted the attention of Henry VIII. She refused any proposal from the King except marriage, a factor leading to the trial of Anne. Two weeks after Anne Boleyn was beheaded. Jane Seymour became the 3rd wife of Henry VIII, and the only one to bear him a male heir. She died shortly after Edward was born, and was the only wife to be buried at Henry's side.
