There are FOUR petrified pine cones (probably Equicalastrobus sp) in this collection. They were found far west of Boujdour, in Western Sahara (Morocco). The petrified cones presumably date from the Eocene (54 to 37 million years ago), as they were surface collected in Eocene deposits.

The cones range in length from 2.0 to 1.88 inches. All of the cones contain some seeds. The ones pictured here are the ones that will be mailed out after purchase.
