Victorian 1859 pattern Wiltshire Rifle Volunteers, Officers Shako. Rifle green melton cloth body with patent black leather peak and chinstrap. Leather sweatband to interior with mauve silk lining which has a manufactures mark of “Hawkes & Co”. The front of the shako has a blackened brass strung bugle with “1” to the centre. The rear has a blackened brass Medusa head, vent. Complete with green velvet pompom.
