Mickey Mouse #1
1930 Walt Disney / Bibo & Lang publ.

This is the first ever Mickey Mouse comic book in any form

Mickey Mouse is the most well know comic character on earth, and has been for 97 years, when he made his debut as a cartoon short in late 1928. This is the very 1st Mickey Mouse comic book of any kind. There were at least 4 different printings of this comic book as the popularity of this issue grew but this is the very 1st print, which is identified by the song lyrics near the back on page #14, where it is it reads: "We feel so bad but then we're glad when you up and kill him".
When parents discovered this in a children's comic book Walt had the 1st print run scrapped and it was reprinted with a fully green cover (no white border as this one has).
Most often page #9 is removed because instructions asked the children to cut out the game pieces & play the game, so only few 1st printings exist complete, in any grade.

Presented here is one of the highest grade examples known to exist
