GUARANTEED GENUINE - EXTREMELY RARE SPLIT PLANCHET ERROR ON 1835 US LARGE CENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The planchet split the obverse and reverse apart across the full diameter after the strike. This is the upper or OBVERSE HALF. 

Obverse is normally appearing. Back side of the split piece shows a weak, incused, and reversed impression of the obverse as expected for a post strike, fully split error !!!! This is a VERY, VERY, VERY RARE ERROR !!!!!   SELDOM OFFERED FOR SALE !!!! 

The coin has led a rough life as seen in the scans. It has surface porosity, obverse scratches, and edge issues. Probably somewhat abused as being a reject in its early life and tossed aside possibly ending up underground for a while.

This 1835 Large Cent has the head of 1836 style. It weighs 5.1 grams or 80 grains. It is very thin as expected.
