WURTZENITE™ BORON NITRIDE, HIGH TEMPERATURE RESISTANT COATING![]()
Net weight: 100 gr.
Content: WBN (wurtzite boron nitride powder, grain size 10/7 micron), phosphates, aluminum oxide, sulphates.
Water soluble paste.
Properties of boron nitride thermal coating: high temperature resistance and conductivity, dielectric strength (eliminates the risk of shorting out).
Thermal conductivity 2.7 watt/centimeter/°C
(Thermal conductivity of wurtzite boron nitride powder- 7.4 watt/centimeter/°C compared to silver with 4.29 watt/centimeter/°C)
Dielectric constant - 5
Dielectric loss tangent- 2 * 104 tgδ, 1 MHz
Water based boron nitride paste, which does not hardens when dries, but leaves layer of boron nitride layer:

Application:
- detaching (dismantling) and protective for high temperatures (up to 2000 °C);
- anti-stick coating,
- Radio-transparent coating, etc.
How it works: composition and wurtzite boron nitride hardens on surface under high temperature and leaves stress resistant coating, see the video below.
The boron nitride coating was applied in 3 layers and one layer (right) on a cylindrical surface. After 24 hours of drying at room temperature, it was subjected to cyclic heating and cooling. The coating remained on the surface, but after temperature changes and mechanical impact, it peeled off. Molten aluminum sticks to the coating.

Directions of use: apply uniform layer to the surface and let it dry.
- Under room temperature it dries approx. 24 hours, surface just should not be sticky. Heating to 150-200 degrees will speed up the drying.
- The coating may be applied with a spatula. Creates a relatively thick coating layer. Weight per 1 m²: 600-900 g.
- Add up to 20% of distilled (preferably) water by weight and stir well for using a spray gun. It is advisable to apply in several layers with a break between coatings of 2-3 hours at room temperature to let previous layer dry. Water should evaporate before use, or surface may "boil" when heated.
Weight of layer per 1 m²: ~300 g.
Once opened, use within 7 days or store in tightly closed bottle.
Advantages:
- Thermal expansion of wurtzite boron nitride (according to Ioffe Institute) is approx. 1.5 lower than that of hexagonal boron nitride and other heat resistant materials. Which means higher stability of coating layer under high temperatures (<2000 °C = 3632 °F);
- Thermal conductivities of wurtzite crystal, parallel and perpendicular to the axis, are identical. Which means higher stability of thermal properties in comparison to other heat resistant materials, including such forms of boron nitride as hexagonal and cubic.
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes or skin - rinse with water
