An antique Japanese Meiji era enamel plate. The plate is enameled with a polychrome image of a bird sitting on a branch with blossoming flowers on a blue turquoise ground made in the cloisonne technique. The border is decorated with a polychrome floral motif. The backside is adorned with a scroll pattern.
