Attention:
1. The camshaft and valve gear components should be washed in solvent to remove grease and dust accumulated during transport to ensure a clean installation. Dry the parts thoroughly before installation by laying them out on paper towels or shop rags (do not soak hydraulic lifters).
2. Double-check that the sprockets are properly aligned with the chain and that everything is perfectly lined up
3. What causes timing chain noise?
Timing chain noise is usually most noticeable when the vehicle is cold started, when oil pressure and flow are at their lowest. Excessive slack in the timing chain can cause a rattling or even a chattering sound if the slack is severe enough to cause the chain to contact the timing chain cover. If the engine is fitted with a hydraulic timing chain tensioner, the noise may disappear or reduce as the engine oil warms up and the tensioner removes some of the slack. If the timing chain is worn to the point where the tensioner is unable to take up the slack, the noise may persist after the engine has warmed up.
Note:
1. If you are unsure or don't know if the part will fit your vehicle, please send us the VIN CODE, YEAR, MAKE, MODEL of your vehicle and we will check and verify the fitment for you.
2. The VIN code is a 17 digit number made up of letters and numbers.
