Years ago, I received a sleeve of 4 MacGregor golf balls from my Mother-in-Law.  She was keenly aware I liked to play new golf balls, but this sleeve somehow managed to be put back and never played.

Back in day, the MacGregor name was rather like the Titleist of today.  There was a time when the MacGregor name carried clout.  Byron Nelson was said to have won 11 championships using MacGregor golf balls.  Johnny Miller shot a U.S. Open-record 63 using MacGregor balls.

As age and health have taken a toll, I have become keenly aware that most of my golf collection needs to move on to someone who can appreciate the history, as well as, the things that make this game so great.
